Living the greater part of her life in India, St. Teresa of Calcutta planted seeds of goodness and God's Love throughout the entire world. Her extraordinary work with the poorest of the poor in her community, and the beauty and compassion of her words and deeds have made Mother Teresa a beloved, world-renowned figure, and earned her a well-deserved place in the company of saints. She was canonized by Pope Francis on September 4th, with her feast day being September 5th, the day she died in 1997 at age 87. St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us!
