This chapter is composed of 15 beads in such a way that three beads are in honor of the Holy Family; Jesus, Mary and Joseph.  On these, are recited three times the Lord’s Prayer. 

The 12 other beads are in honor of the Holy Childhood of the Christ, and on them are recited 12 Hail Mary prayers. 

Before each Lord’s Prayer, one says:  “And the Word was made Flesh”.  Before the first of the 12 Hail Marys, one prays:  “And the Word was made Flesh, and dwell among us.”
